DESCRIPTION:A new dimension to multi-sports! \n\n\n\nFirst Team Europe Biothlon in Sri Lanka: Discovering Sri Lankan Biodiversity through Sports Activities. \n\n\n\nThe European Union Delegation to Sri Lanka\, through a social multi-sport/recreational activity event (a “Biothlon”) is planning to raise awareness about integrated approaches across EU initiatives that are promoting community-based sustainable tourism while protecting the biodiversity and mitigating the impact of climate change. \n\n\n\nG360 has partnered with Kitesurfing Lanka to design and execute the Biothon in collaboration with EU’s partner organizations ACTED and GIZ and make it not just a sporting event but a transformative experience for participants\, onlookers\, workers and communities. \n\n\n\nFive types of sports will be included in the Biothlon – Swimming\, Cycling\, Running\, Kitesurfing and Kayaking. The event will take place in Kalpitiya. The sports segments will be combined with observations\, visits and discussions on environmental degradation and environmental regeneration. DESCRIPTION:G360 is committed to expanding its reach in popularizing multi-sports in the country. \n\n\n\nStarting with school children in rural areas who have very limited opportunities for engaging in multisports\, but have talent and enthusiasm in abundance\, G360 takes its first step towards this objective – Butterfly Hope Foundation’s Charity Duathlon & Fun Run in Katana. \n\n\n\nG360 is collaborating with Butterfly Hope Foundation which is spearheading an initiative to renovate a Boys’ Home in Katana – Arklow Boy’s Home is home to 27 boys aged 5-17 years. These kids attend Pope Paul VI Maha Vidyalaya school in Katana. The participants of the event will be 100 students from the school including those from Arklow. You are most welcome to witness this event and cheer the kids on. \n\n\n\nDonations from well-wishers towards renovating the Boys’ Home are most welcome. SUMMARY:Ace the Race - Triathlon (Relay)
DESCRIPTION:The Ladies’ College Old Girls’ Association\, after a long lapse of public events\, has embarked on organising Colombo’s largest multi-sport event ‘Ace the Race’; a Triathlon on the 3rd of December 2022. \n\n\n\nThis event is organized with a view to raise much needed funds for their alma mater. A multi-sporting event of this nature\, addresses the need of the hour.  This event will promote the ethos of team spirit\, physical wellbeing\, maintaining sound mental health through sports\, harnessing resilience\, endurance\, and challenging oneself in finding strength to keep It together\, in the most trying of times\, faced by Sri Lanka at this moment. \n\n\n\nColombo\, with its diverse population will strengthen bonds across a segment of age groups\, as the power of sports brings us together in the toughest and most challenging of times.
